According to a new report, the role of Rocket Raccoon – aka, the final piece of Guardians of the Galaxy’s casting puzzle – has been offered to  Bradley Cooper.

Based on information from UK-based sources, Latino Review is reporting that Marvel just made the offer to Cooper’s reps, although nothing has been officially confirmed.

In previous interviews, Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn called the little furry guy “the heart” of the film, and talked about bringing in real life raccoons to the set to “get the behavior down.”

Rocket Racoon and Groot are the two central – and animated – Guardians roles yet to be officially confirmed, although Vin Diesel has recently dropped strong hints that he will play the extraterrestrial plant monster.
