The massive coffee chain has very recently opted to use Google Wi-Fi to give U.S. customers up to 10-times faster network speeds. Starbucks customers will soon have blazing Wi-Fi speeds, thanks to the company’s new partnership with Google.
Customers will start seeing their local Starbucks Wi-Fi change to “Google Starbucks” as soon as next month. Supposedly all 7,000 stores will get the improved network over the next 18 months. This new partnership is a major victory for Google, who has been slowly breaking its way into the ISP market by rolling out Google Fiber in a handful of cities over the last few years.
